Working papers about child care support to foreign residents

We performed investigation for the purpose of considering about needs and problem of childbirth, child care in Japan of foreign residents, the way of future support and issued "working papers to be concerned with child care support to foreign residents" by Kanagawa International Foundation. We gather up result of hearing to mother of foreigner doing child care in questionary survey to all local governments in Kanagawa and advanced example, Japan in each field.

Working papers about the current situations of employment of foreigner in the care spot

We grasped the current situation and problem of job of foreign caretaker and, for the purpose of planning the workplace fixation of foreign caregiver by promotion of mutual understanding of employer and employee, carried out job situation investigation of foreigner for the prefecture elderly person health welfare facilities and interview to foreigner caretaker by educational foundation international school and collaboration and gathered up findings in report.

Non-Japanese Community Survey Result 2

It is - multicultural social work examination business report for promotion of multicultural social work of Kanagawa—

Complicated life problem that settle down, and foreign residents faces with progress of becoming permanent residence of foreign residents; the need of multicultural social work (general support for foreign residents) to coordinate consistent support up to the solution in cooperation with related various engines generally has been increasing while hitting problem solution while diversify, and understanding cultural social background of foreign residents.
Our foundation performed fact-finding about the way of general support for foreign residents among the municipalities (the local government), related organizations in Kanagawa, NGO/NPO and gathered about approaches demanded from promotion of multicultural social work of the future.

"Survey by child project about education having connection in foreign country"

asupuraza foreigner Educational Counseling for Foreign Residents report (from 2006 to 2009)

Our foundation established "asupuraza foreigner Educational Counseling for Foreign Residents" as designated manager of the earth citizen Kanagawa plaza prefectural than 2006 and performed information collection and dispatch, holding of liaison meeting with associated engine to carry out consultation correspondence by multiple languages from foreign student and protector, consultation correspondence from person concerned with school and volunteer, consultation correspondence appropriately.

It will be ... with Japanese learning support - current situation of Kanagawa from now on

As for the Japanese learning of foreign residents living in Kanagawa, most are supported by volunteer Japanese language course. It is local Japanese learning support that played a big role by many civic efforts, but, in diversification of increase, background and needs of foreign residents, comes to have various problems pointed out.
Our foundation performed questionnaire and hearing investigation targeting at Japanese volunteer classroom, public hall, International Association from 2007 through 2008 to inspect such a problem. We focus on side supporting Japanese learning and publish suggestion to as a result of age group and activity number of years of Japanese learning supporter, group budget scale, acquisition ahead of activity fund, questionnaire to modify the situation of network with other groups and problem and solution to feel on the site, contents of hearing investigation about features-like approach.

Our foundation conducted research about distribution of multilingual information in area from 2004. Though both number and type were enriched as for the multiple languages information that the local government issued with increase of the foreign family register residents as for having been able to see through investigation, it was problem that route which obtained information that foreign country family register residents needed was limited to.
Therefore we decided to start project to consider the possibility of multilingual reporting utilizing cell-phone for two years from 2006 and investigated offer of more effective multiple languages information and the way of distribution. In this report, we recorded findings for two years and, from information obtained from forum holding and conduct of hearing, gathered up consideration about the way of multiple languages reporting including utilization of relatively new tool cell-phone.

Our foundation set up society which assumed administration, foreign residents in Kanagawa, NGO, international exchange group, people of learning and experience constitution member from 2004 and conducted research to examine policy to send multilingual living information effectively.
In 2005, it performed interview investigation for foreign residents in Kanagawa considered to be "guard of information", and it became clear that it was necessary to send information to place except windows such as city halls including thing and church and school where multiple languages living information did not reach in key person engaged in reporting in consultation desk concretely positively.
In this report, problem to affect offer, distribution, the contents of multilingual living information, interpreter, translation, consultation is gathered up for each theme. In addition, trouble and anxiety that ethnic key person realize about problem over distribution of multilingual information including the field of medical care and disaster prevention are published as "actual voice", and information about approach and ethnic media of the local government for the making of structure concerned with distribution of multilingual information, source of information information including acquisition ahead of useful homepage and multiple languages living information introduce a lot. In addition, the prospects of activity of setting of multilingual consumer information center are settled in form called proposal.

In "Kanagawa outside the prefecture nationality residents life fact-finding" (2000) or the discussion at "foreign residents in Kanagawa Kanagawa meeting" that Kanagawa performed, voice "that information did not reach to foreigner of the person concerned as for a lot of multiple languages information though it was provided" has been raised.
At our foundation, they installed society which assumed administration, foreign residents in Kanagawa, NGO, international exchange group, people of learning and experience constitution member on the basis of such situation, and life of foreign residents in Kanagawa and international exchange, social education facility in the deep prefecture of relation carried out questionary survey and hearing investigation for international classroom setting school, Board of Education in the autumn of 2004.
As a result of investigation, various problems including there not being offer of information by the Internet being late and operation to grasp information, being uneven in making of multiple languages information between the local governments, cooperation with other engines being done more, human resources of interpreter, translator at school lacking, multilingualization of textbook, subject teaching aid being late were highlighted.
This report settles result of investigation and suggests problem and the prospects seen from findings including guideline about multiple languages service in "multiple languages information distribution center" which collection arranges continuously, and can provide such multiple languages information and public institution being necessary, full-scale dispatch system of interpreter, translator being necessary in form called "proposal".

 Foundation installed "Exploratory Committee for the teaching materials maintenance in international classroom" with people engaged in the field of foreign child student education in teacher in charge of "international classroom", Board of Education, the Education Center from 2001. In this Exploratory Committee, we carried out concrete work for problem solution over administration of "international classroom" climbing over business and local wall and performed work of collection and maintenance, communalization of the teaching materials group possessed in elementary and junior high school or Education Center in the prefecture. We published discussion carried out in process of work of committee in report.
